SPENHILL PROMOTES WEST MIDLANDS RETAIL AT BCSC 2011

The Swan Centre in Yardley, set to open in February 2012, and New Square in West Bromwich, opening spring 2013, are exciting opportunities for retailers and customers, bringing investment, new jobs and better shopping and leisure facilities to the West Midlands.

New Square forms part of one of the largest regeneration programmes in the UK at the moment. Located in the heart of West Bromwich, New Square is a new shopping and leisure destination that will dramatically increase the town's retail offer. Anchored by a 144,000 sq ft Tesco Extra store, New Square has already attracted retailers including Next, JD Sports, Bank, Outfit and Primark.

Spenhill's development of the Swan Shopping Centre in Yardley is an exciting opportunity for local and multiple retailers in this important gateway site in Birmingham.

The development of the Swan Centre, 168,000 sq ft of retail space anchored by an 111,000 sq ft Tesco Extra store, will provide a wide variety and choice for consumers. The development will include an enclosed mall with 21 new, modern and well-configured retail units. The units range in size from 1,100 sq ft to 7,100 sq ft, with the potential for mezzanine in some units.
